Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and MB "Burikas", which operates MedicalHistory.app ("we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using medicalhistory.app (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service description

MedicalHistory.app lets you upload your own medical documents and lab reports, automatically extracts biomarker values from them using automated tools (including a third-party AI extraction service, as described in our Privacy Policy), and displays them as an organized timeline so you can track your health data over time. The Service is a personal record-organizing tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional medical care.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate.

4. Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the documents you upload.
  • Mapped extracted values can appear on your timeline automatically. You can review and edit them anytime. You are responsible for checking extracted values against the original document before relying on them.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and secure.
  • You will only upload documents that you have the right to upload (typically, your own medical records, or those of a person for whom you are the legal guardian or authorized representative).
  • You will not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to store or process another person's health data without their consent.

Automated extraction is not always perfect. We do not guarantee that extracted values are complete, accurate, or free of error, and you should not make medical decisions based solely on extracted values without verifying them against the original document and, where relevant, consulting a qualified healthcare professional.

5. Payment terms

A limited number of document uploads are available on a free plan. Continued use beyond the free plan's limit requires a paid annual subscription, billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, at the price shown at checkout. Current plan details are on the pricing page. Your subscription renews automatically each year at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account's billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access until then.

Payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at [email protected] and we will review your case.

6. Medical disclaimer

MedicalHistory.app is not a healthcare provider, is not staffed by medical professionals in connection with the Service, and does not practice medicine. Nothing in the Service — including extracted values, timelines, or any summary or comparison the app displays — is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. Automated extraction can misread, omit, or misinterpret values from a document. Always verify extracted data against the original document and consult a licensed healthcare professional for any medical decision, including before starting, stopping, or changing any treatment.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MB "Burikas" and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages resulting from inaccurate or incomplete automated extraction, or from decisions made in reliance on data shown in the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

8. Account termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected] from your account's email address; see our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled after deletion. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, use the Service unlawfully, or if we are required to do so by law. Where reasonably possible, we will give you advance notice before terminating your account.

9. Intellectual property

You retain all ownership rights to the documents you upload and the health data they contain. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you (for example, to extract and display values). We own the MedicalHistory.app application, website, branding, and underlying software, and no rights to these are granted to you other than the right to use the Service under these Terms.

10. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lithuania, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country of residence.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the app before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Severability & entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
